Why we changed our positioning

We originally sold Brimley as a free website for tradesmen. It was simple and easy to explain. But it was also too narrow.

The product does more than host a website. It publishes your work to Google, structures your data for search engines, sends quotes and invoices, tracks which ones get opened — and soon, syncs your presence across Google Business Profile, directories, and more.

Calling that a "website" undersells it. And positioning around SEO alone is fragile — Google's March 2026 Core Update showed that scaled AI content gets crushed overnight. We needed positioning that was broader and more honest.

So we changed to: "Your online presence, handled."

Your website is the hub. Channels — Google, directories, maps — are the spokes. We're not a website builder. We're a presence layer that handles the bits most tradesmen don't have time for.

If you're a plumber in Bristol and someone searches "plumber Bristol" — we make sure your work shows up. Not through tricks. Through real case studies, proper structured data, and patience.
